The Lagerfeld Life

From time to time, he's loud and foul, but he's so right that it hurts, same as this time...
Karl Lagerfeld may be a self-confessed control freak, but that doesn't mean he disapproves of those who like a little more fun in their lives. Kate Moss, for example, deserves the adulation she receives from the fashion world and beyond: "Because the image is controlled," Lagerfeld told The Sunday Times Style magazine. "What she projects, everyone would love to do if they had the courage. Girls want to look like her and they want to behave like her. Kate has the courage to be 150 per cent herself; she has something very special, very touching. There is no second Kate Moss. People want to look and be like her, to have something that is very daring, but it must remain a fantasy for 99 per cent of the world: they don't have the looks, the circumstances, the thing? He is less approving, meanwhile, of the continual tabloid fodder that Naomi Campbell's recent behaviour has become. "The way she behaves is not very chic," he says. "I hate people who let themselves go, I hate drunk women. To keep a certain discipline in life is a good thing." (July 24 2006, AM) Dolly Jones
I couldn't agree more, and one could learn and get inspired sooo much from the master, especially to someone as self-indulge as me. Good to have this kind of enlightenment once in a while.
