Balmain - she wears it well...

Carine Roitfeld was in Cannes also, as you people are all aware of what she wears, but hey, we just never get enough of her, like we do to Kate Moss, don't we? CR first devoted to Lanvin on red carpet- a rare choix of hers, then later switch to Balmain from amfAR and Dolce & Gabbana party. Judging by Christophe Decarnin's work at Balmain ever since he started, we'd say both his catwalk shows and pre-collections are all very well-received by editrix at VogueParis at least, Parisienne spirit with rock & roll edge, and yet very wearable. Maria Luisa describes his work as 'editor's collection', but nothing wrong with that if it's a win-win situation- both commercially and artistically appreciated.
